We're holding a special On-Line MUSIC and DANCE FUNdraiser 

HOUSE PARTY Live 2020

8-9:30 PM Eastern US

With all-live music and taught/called dances drawing from the Contra, English Country, Square and potentially International Dance traditions. The dances are specifically written for or tailored to dancing at home - it's fun!

Our Wonderful Performers:

Music by Eric Boodman: Fiddle & Feet; Julie Metcalf: Fiddle; Max Newman: Guitar, Piano and Feet; Jack O'Connor: Mandolin

Calling by Lisa Greenleaf and Don Veino

They'll be in our lovely Main Hall at the Scout House for a fully LIVE-streamed performance (with suitable social distancing precautions) and have graciously donated their talents for this event.

You may join via the internet to dance or simply enjoy the music and company. The building's closed to those outside the production crew.

We'll stream to the online video platform that starts with a Z and rhymes with room plus YouTube Live. Come along as we navigate a brave new world of technology and logistics for bringing together an all-live event of such scope!

While there's no fee to participate, please make a donation in support of the Concord Scout House if you can!

• To participate via Z-rOOM (see performers plus your fellow participants), YOU MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE and prepare your device. Don't leave it to last minute or your entry may be delayed. Register via this quick two-stage process.
• To view via YouTube Live doesn't require registration. Sound quality should be equal to (likely better than) Z-rOOM but you'll only see/hear the performers - we won't be able to see or hear you. Join via this link up to 15 minutes before the event.

NOTE: it isn't recommended to join on both platforms, as there may be a significant network delay between them.

Timeline (Eastern US time):

• 7:30 Z-rOOM waiting room opens, participants can join
• 7:45 YouTube Live broadcast opens to viewers
• 8:00 Live Dance and Music (with a mid-event short break)
• 9:30 Programming ends, virtual social time may be available (on Z-rOOM only)

Our primary revenue source (event rentals) has dried up due to COVID-19. We continue to have carrying costs in keeping our lovely historic venue available for when we'll all gather in person again for music and dance. Your donation will make a real difference!
